Skywork Helicopters Limited was established in 1997 with one aircraft, and today operates a fleet of diverse aircraft within New Zealand.

Skywork is able to provide you with a diverse range of commercial helicopter services. Whether your requirement is a one-off type job or flight, or an extended and comprehensive part of an overall construction, agricultural or seismic related project, or is of an emergency nature, for fire, search & rescue or frost protection Skywork has a team of individuals ready to respond 24/7.

The company is managed and operated by a team of individuals passionate about aviation, and who each contribute to the successful delivery of helicopter services provided to the company’s customers.

OUR FLEET

The Skywork Helicopter fleet offers a range of capabilities to suit your needs. 

The fleet consists of a twin-engine AS355N Eurocopter and three single-engine AS350B3 Eurocopters. In addition, various other helicopters are contracted in from approved operators and are available on demand. The range and incredible versatility of these machines enables Skywork to provide an aircraft that best meets the requirements of the task.

The Eurocopters are commonly known as ‘Squirrels’, all carry high technology equipment and feature quite roomy cabins, providing an excellent field of view. The range, speed and versatility of these aircraft make them the ideal choice for your work or leisure activity.

    With excellent handling, robustness, the AS355N incorporates twin-engine added reliability and performance – making it ideal for all types of aerial service work. The aircraft works well in demanding operations over water, rugged terrain and urban areas. Renowned for its low operation and maintenance costs, this helicopter benefits from the reliability and safety of its two Turbomeca Arrius 1A engines and is equipped with a full authority digital engine control.

    With built-in manoeuvrability, excellent visibility and low vibration levels in the cabin, the Squirrel has earned its reputation as a true multi-mission workhorse around the world. The cabin has a flat floor that can be quickly and easily reconfigured for various flight operations, including aerial work, passenger operations, firefighting, search, and rescue.
